Well Miranda Lambert carves out another notch in her belt for winning awards thanks to the CMA’s for giving her another Female of The Year on Wednesday. This makes 13 times she’s won at the CMA’s. She’s won 7 times for Female Vocalists of the Year Awards that started back in 2009. Carrie Underwood broke her streak with last year’s win. She’s won Album, Song of The Year, Single of The Year, & Vocal Event of the Year. She’s been nominated 164 times and has won 52 awards. Here’s her stats:
- ACM’s- Won 25 of 47 nominations.
- American Country Music Awards- Won 5 of 16 nominations.
- Billboard Magazine- Won 0 of 2 nominations.
- CMA’s- Won 13 of 34 nominations.
- CMT’s- Won 7 of 23 nominations.
- Grammy’s- Won 2 of 12 nominations.
- Teen Choice- Won 0 of 7 nominations.
With all those wins-you would think she would dominate on the music charts-you’d be wrong. Since Miranda Lambert started in 2003 and her first #1 song was in 2010 with, “The House That Built Me.” By that time she had had 2 Albums (Kerosene 2005 & Crazy Ex-Girlfriend 2007) which none of those song releases made it to #1. Both Albums however did go straight to the top. In total, Miranda has had 4 #1’s. Now all 7 of her albums that she’s released has gone to the top of the charts.
What this tells me is that people are buying her albums but radio stations are not playing her songs in heavy rotation. Here at 100.7 The Tiger, we do play her in heavy rotation, including her latest “Tin Man.”
I think she doesn’t get enough credit from radio stations so here’s to you Miranda- “Keep on keeping on and you’ll be fine.”
