Have you heard construction has officially begun at BREC’s Greenwood Community Park and Baton Rouge Zoo!?
That’s not the only exciting thing BREC has in store for you in 2021. Creation of the master plan for the new Airline Highway Community Park almost complete with the help of your input, new playground shade sails and miles of walking paths are being added to more of your parks, the addition of a nature education center at Frenchtown Road Conservation Area and construction on the new BREC Greenway to connect North Baton Rouge to Downtown will soon begin! Reopening of the Raising Cane’s Dog Park at City-Brooks rang in the new year, a new dog park at Lovett Rd. Park will be added to the collection! Whether reimagining a dog park, a trail or even a zoo, BREC has more than a playground all throughout the parish for you.
