The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) will host a 75th Birthday Celebration open to the public at Independence Community Park on Saturday, December 18th, at 6 p.m. to celebrate 75 years of making East Baton Rouge Parish a better place to live, work and play. The 75th Birthday Celebration will include sparkling holiday lights, live music, sneaux, food, strolling entertainment, official 75th giveaways and so much more! Residents of all ages and abilities are welcome to indulge in a memorable family night. Sponsored by Coca-Cola, a celebratory fireworks finale will conclude the event at 8 p.m.
