About 60% of Americans say they ignore symptoms that don’t feel “serious”, a survey of 2,000 adults found. The Talker Research survey conducted for MD Live found that men and women don’t go to the doctor for different reasons: 46% of men believe they can “push through” their symptoms, while 44% of women say they don’t want to “overreact.” The average person experiences aches and pains four times a week. “While online resources can provide general guidance, there’s no substitute for speaking with a trusted, board-certified doctor who can assess symptoms,” Dr. Maggie Williams explained.
